Quick Setup (3 Minutes)
- Create a new Google Sheet. Keep worksheet name as
Sheet1. - (Optional) Put headers in row 1:
Date, Purchase_Date, Amount, Merchant, Category, Description, Receipts. - Click Share → set permission to “Anyone can edit”.
- Create a Google Drive folder for images → Share “Anyone can view”.
- Open TidyReceipt → Login with Google → paste both links in Setup → Save.
- Upload or snap a receipt → AI fills the form → data writes to Google Sheets.
Tip: You can use our template from the Setup section to copy headers quickly.
Best Practices for Malaysia & Singapore
- Use currency formatting in Google Sheets to display MYR/SGD correctly.
- Store the original image URL in the “Receipts” column for audit.
- Create categories (e.g., Meals, Transport, Office Supplies) for faster analysis.

Does it work outside Malaysia & Singapore?
Yes. TidyReceipt is designed for global receipts and supports English and Chinese. Many other languages work well too.
Where is my data stored?
Images go to your Google Drive; extracted fields go to your Google Sheet. We do not store your receipt data on our servers.
